CONICA AG

After the successful premier in 2009, the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix will turn to the quality product from Schaffhausen, Switzerland for the seventh time in 2015. The innovative tennis surface CONIPUR PRO CLAY made by CONICA is similar to the clay courts at Roland Garros – a fact much appreciated by the players. When preparing for the Grand Slam in Paris, the system aids top class performances and helps prevent injuries as a result of the consistent ball bounce, optimal sliding and cushioning properties.

The CONIPUR PRO CLAY system consists of a base layer made of crushed tiles mixed with a special binding material. In contrast to a normal clay court, which has an approximately 50 - 60 cm high base, the court is only 2.5 cm thick. Finely crushed brick is spread on top of the base. In addition to its excellent properties, CONIPUR PRO CLAY can be laid very quickly and is ready for use within the space of 24 hours. At the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, like when installing indoor courts generally, the clay is treated with a special environmentally-friendly and odourless oil which draws moisture from the air. The court therefore doesn’t have to be watered and it retains optimal moisture levels at all times.

As it can be played on throughout the year and, as it needs only little maintenance, an increasing number of club officials are turning to CONIPUR PRO CLAY. The system is already being successfully used in eight countries.

Since 1977, CONICA AG has, in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, been developing, producing and selling reliable, high quality systems and products for the construction of sports surfaces in all of the world’s climatic zones. The range of products includes intelligent system solutions for indoor and outdoor athletics tracks, multi-function facilities as well as sports and multi-purpose halls and tennis courts. The comprehensive portfolio is rounded off by products for artificial turf surfaces, children’s playgrounds and EPDM and black granulates. Today CONICA is the world leader in synthetic running track systems. In addition to sports surfaces, CONICA also produces liquid plastics for industrial flooring, surface protection and surface systems for parking decks. The experienced CONICA team provides expert support, an excellent technical service and site supervision through its experienced application engineers.
